About Us
Our Story
Set up in 2019, Permaculture Kernow's main focus is bringing ‘hope through positive change’ - thinking global and acting local and planting food for the future. We facilitate the education of individuals and the regeneration of natural resources in our local and wider environment.
Permaculture Kernow offers courses and workshops not only through classes held on the Rame Peninsula but also on Zoom.
We focus our efforts on those from all walks of life teaching all aspects of permaculture thus enabling individuals to make real positive change in their own lives, on their own land and in their own communities.
We work within schools and pre schools, helping children and families grow their own food, embracing and connecting with nature.
Linda Dunstone
Linda is passionate about protecting our planet, and promoting the need to grow food locally. Linda has been growing a wide variety of food and keeping ducks and chickens using permaculture methods for over 30 years. Linda has the
PDC and is a Children in Permaculture practitioner and started working with Permaculture Kernow in 2020.
For many years Linda has been actively involved with her local community here on the Rame Peninsula, previously repopulating the Maker Heights Centre, organising large events including music festivals and welcoming school groups, families and artists to this area of Cornwall. Linda can also offer Ayurveda.
Joshua Gomez
Joshua has taught the Permaculture Design Certificate for the past 15 years to over 250 students worldwide. In 2017 Joshua studied for the Australian Permaculture Design Certificate from Graham Bell and George Christofis.
He has a natural talent of working with people from all walks of life, a deep understanding of our ecosystem and Permaculture design principles.
Josh loves helping people unlock their own passions and skills, enabling them to also become educators of Permaculture.
Sylvie Gomez
Joshua’s mum Sylvie and founder of Permaculture Kernow, is a retired sociologist who is very involved in voluntary work and environmental issues in our local community.
Sylvie volunteers her time at The Peninsula Trust and at our Millbrook School, ‘Children in Permaculture sessions’.
We are very grateful to Sylvie who brings her calm wisdom and capable ways to everything we do at Permaculture Kernow.
Permaculture is made up of three core ethics,
Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share.
Guided by these values, Permaculture Kernow's mission is to cultivate hope and growth, where everyone is welcome to connect with nature and help us grow food and care for the land.
Our values represent a holistic, design-based approach to creating resilient systems that mimic natural ecosystems which form the foundation for sustainable living.

🌍 Regeneration in Action
We work within schools sharing immersive educational projects where children learn about bio diversity, growing food, climate resilience, and conservation through hands-on play.
